MOMENTUM PROJECT

The Momentum Project is the product of a 2025 pilot program called Changing Lanes developed and led by Middle Third in partnership with the State of Michigan’s Office of Future Mobility. This pilot program’s objectives were as follows;

1. Demystify the transition from corporate employee to founder, startup employee or entrepreneur while raising awareness of available resources in the State 
2. Provide professional development and career transition support to white collar talent who are facing job transition and/or curious about pivoting to the startup / entrepreneurial ecosystem
3. Foster and strengthen professional community for scale-stage Startup founders
4. Explore low-risk opportunities to match startups with experienced industry talent 

While our pilot program activities proved to be highly valuable to startup founders and white collar talent who participated, we identified and made recommendations to scale the program.

We are looking to help more communities that would like to bring this programming to help their experienced professional talent up-skill to support the growth of their local startups.
